Foi otimo assistir as palestras e o esforço que o CAN tem desenvolvido em financiar projetos de pesquisa que coloquem a bicicleta com sua devida importância no Planejamento de Transporte Urbanos. 

A abertura contou com a participação de Edson H.Watanabe (UFRJ), Giselle Xavier (BPP), Martin van Maarseveen (CAN), Julio Lopes (Secretario de Estado de Transportes), Romulo Orrico (SubSecretario Municipal de Transportes e Professor COPPE), Milena Bodmer (Professora COPPE).
